Graduation...LIT May graduation ceremonies were held last night at the Montagne Center. The commencement speaker was brief, so it wasn't too painful. Congrats to all of my former students who finally made it through the system. Big props to co-worker Ira Wilsker for allowing me to use his spare cap/mortarboard---i seem to have misplaced my own...After the event, I joined co-workers Darrell, Cindy, Adrianne (a.k.a. "Marie")and others down at Rio Rita's. We chatted it up about the graduation ceremony and water bras --- some women love them. Former student Jimmy Ray also contributed to the conversation. Server turned bartender Lara K. came and visited and told us about her new chihuahua puppy. Her great dane tried (unsuccessfully) to eat it last week...As i was trying to get out of the restaurant, assistant manager Austan B. stopped by seeking more relationship advice. Last month, i counseled her on how to win the heart of the modern sagittarian male, but she apparently screwed that up. She's moved on, but is having trouble getting her current guy to commit (it's been nearly four weeks)...

Back...Mark, Brian, Darrell and I headed over to new eating establishment Madison's on Dowlen for lunch today, and really enjoyed it. Server Latouia (pronounced LA-TOY-AH---i can't figure it out either) L. took really good care of us, and former Rio Rita's server Carol H. was also working there... Props to former student Leann R. for dropping by and keeping me entertained yesterday afternoon. She also baked cookies which were very good...My database project meeting with members of the LU nursing department went really well, but i'm beginning to think the project will never end. Groups of women can be extremely indecisive/wishy-washy...

Check out...Here's a link to the Web sites of my Web Authoring class students. Most are really good...I did have to delete links to some of the sites, as they were substantially lacking...Check them out...

Catch-Up...Darrell, David, and I enjoyed our first Carrabba's night this week. My chicken bryan was excellent as expected. Server Jennifer Lee took great care of us, and ragged on me for liking the movie "Cabin Fever"---she's an Environmental Science major and said that the plot of the movie is ludicrous. I ragged on her for her music preference---she loves Bjork and PJ Harvey and other strange foreign acts...Last night, i celebrated mother's day with my aunt, uncle, cousins, and sister at Pappadeaux. The new Bayou Salmon salad was awesome...I highly recommend that readers rent the DVD "Big Fish". I remember seeing the previews a few months ago, and thinking that it looked really gay, but it was a great flick...A big shout-out to old A&M buddies Eric Alfuth and Katie Scott on their big engagement announcement. They had actually been engaged several years earlier, but went their separate ways---i always hoped they'd get back together...I never gave a description of the pictures below---the first is of some students from my ITSE 2313 Web Authoring class. They did a damn good job on their presentations. The other was taken the other day when i went with my sister down to Van Buren Elementary to see the chicks. They're being hatched at the school for the kindergarten students...I finished my grades this afternoon, and plan to go up to the school and post tomorrow. It's gonna be a really bad day for quite a few of my slackers...
