Visit...Former office mate Heather Lafleur finally made good on her promise to visit, and brought baby Abby with her. The baby looks just like Heather's husband Brian. Both were doing really well...Today at lunch I joined Jackie, Campbell and Darrell down at Logan's Roadhouse. Carrabba's server Melissa H. also tagged along, and was good company. The only bad thing was that it was my turn to pick up the tab (plus, i was running 40 minutes late so i felt extra-obligated). Props to Randa for taking good care of our table...

Wrong...I really enjoyed last night's episode of "The Bachelor". Trish is absolutely horrible, but i'm really beginning to hope that she and Jesse Palmer end up together. I'm not as impressed with Julie (the cheerleader) as i was last week. Her voice is soooo whiney. I'd have to move Suzie into second place... I made an offer on a house (the one without attic fans and french drains) this morning, so we'll see what happens...We had a fantastic lunch down at Poblano this afternoon. Carrabba's server Lauren A. joined us. She's student teaching down at MacArthur Elementary, and decided not to eat pizza, chicken rings, and refried beans with the kids today...

Me and my peeps from the PN-G java class...

Guest speaker...Thanks to Port Neches-Groves High School Computer Science instructor Joyce Owens for inviting me to guest lecture in her Java class this morning. I had a blast, and the students (about 20 guys and 1 chick) were both rowdy and attentive---exactly how I like it. I guess it's easy to get excited about arrays, bubble sorts and the binary numbering system...I received the seller's disclosure notice for my latest prospective house this afternoon. Get this---the house has no attic fans or French drains. A house just isn’t the same without French drains---could be a deal breaker...Tonight I joined Campbell, Darrell and Jackie down at Carrabba's. As always, the food was great, and server Ashley M. took good care of us. Jackie finally introduced me to her mother last night. She's a great lady, and loves reality television and wheel of fortune...

The Central High School Marching Band entertains at the half

Gotta love the t-shirts...

Drilled...Last night i joined jon, jennifer, and darrell for my first Beaumont Drillers game of the season. I was sad when the Texas Wildcatters season came to an end last week, but it looks as though i'll have enough low-brow sports entertainment to last through the summer. The team fought hard to a thrilling 61-21 victory over the Tupelo Fireants. After the game, we headed to Rio Rita's for some nachos. Jennifer Smith (LU Mascot "Big Red") took really good care of us. She made an "A" on her art project and was stoked about it...Props to the Beards (Mark and Vicki) for hosting an epic crawfish boil yesterday. mmmmmhhhh...
