Lots of damage in the cold creek manner house...

Poblano waitress Jennifer C. discusses the future with me...

Search...Yesterday afternoon i joined local Realtor Amber J. in a search for my next house. The first house we visited was a bit creepy--it was a bank repo, and apparently the former owners weren't too thrilled about being evicted. The carpet had been completely ripped out, and there were numerous holes in the walls and doors. It was at a decent price, but it had a strange "Cold Creek Manner" feel too it, and i think it would be best to let somebody else have it. I did find a nice condo/townhouse, as well as a nice home in the Northwest Forest subdivision, so we'll see how things work out... Last night at Rio Rita's, i was able to give invaluable relationship advice to hostess/assistant manager Austan. Evidently, she's been seeing a guy (a sagittarius male, just like me) and wants to know where the relationship is going (they've been together a full week and a half). She has concerns because the guy is aloof, non-touchy and doesn't believe in public displays of affection and she's afraid that she may be way more into him than he is with her. It took nearly an hour, but being an expert on the sagittarian mindset, i was able to tell her exactly what was going on, how to win him over step by step, and warn her about the things she could do to screw things up. My advice was fool-proof---I doubt Dr. Phil could have done any better...After that, i met jackie, joe, david and darrell at the poblano grill (i had a HUGE craving for coconut flan). Witchy Waitress Jennifer C. re-read my palms and decided that i have exactly two kids in my future, just like her...

Hmmmm...Check this out. I'm not sure what to think of this Doctor's recommendation. It goes against everything i was taught growing up...

Choices...Tonight's entertainment options in Beaumont are truly epic, with both Merle Haggard (i always got him mixed up with Johnny Cash, but Johnny's dead now, so no more confusion) and the Benny Hinn Miracle Crusade coming to town. It'll be a wild time in the city tonight...Props to Poblano Grill waitress and cool chick Jennifer C. for taking good care of our table last night. She was the first restaurant employee in a long time (maybe ever) to give me a palm reading. Apparently, i'm a "young" soul and have one to six kids on the way. She promised to bring her tarot deck next week...

Effective...I gave the third major test to my COSC 1301 Section 2 class, and they did really well (considering the class roster) with the class average being an amazingly high 74% !!! I'm obviously getting through to them and motivating them to do their very best...I was very disappointed with an internet list of the top 10 movie and TV cars of all time. How could K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider be left off the list??? Not only was that car tight, but it was also virtually indestructible and could carry on a conversation. Where's the outrage???...We ran into former Rio Rita's waitress (probably the best server ever to wait on me at RR's) Amanda last night at dinner. She's working at Pappadeaux now, and appears to be doing well...I'm looking forward to tonight's special episode of Survivor All Stars. It's been getting great lately (btw, props to Albert for taping every episode) and i'm stoked that both Boston Rob and Lex (my two favorite participants of all time) have made it this far. I fear for Rob though, as it appears that he's getting a bit too close to Amber. Women will stab you in the back every time, especially when there's tons of money involved. I'm hoping he's smart enough not to get played...

Change...It was time to change up the decor of the site, and thus i did... Negative props to La Hacienda for ruining their buffet for me this weekend. They still continue to use raisins in their bell pepper chile rellenos, and this weekend they removed both the chicken and potato tacos (the best food items in the restaurant) from both buffet lines and replaced them with boiled crawfish (or crayfish as my northern friends would say). I like crawfish, but when i go to a mexican restaurant, i'm hoping to get mexican food. That would be like China Border serving pizza or chicken quesadillas (oh wait, they already do that, but at least they aren't serving the pizza in place of pepper steak or general tso's chicken...) Tonight at Pappadeaux, we all decided to eat healthy. Jackie had the grilled chicken breast with asparagas, Darrell had the same except with broccoli, and i had fried shrimp, chicken strips (with honey mustard), and french fries...Mr. Campbell joined us later on and told us about his dog Riley's nasty habit. Evidently, the dog (a maltese) has been swiping Cambell's socks, and his daughter Arleen's thong underwear from the laundry hamper and using them as chew toys...
