Quality...Jackie, Darrell,Campbell, and myself deviated from the usual lunch choices today and opted to go down the Quality Cafe' for the spaghetti special. Everything was unbelievably good, and the italian sausage was loaded with fennel seed. The bread pudding was excellent as well. The only bad thing was that it was my turn to pick up the check... I got back my governmental accounting test tonight and although i did do better than the previous test (8 points higher) i still ended up with a "B". Most of my classmates were pulling C's, D'd and F's, so i really shouldn't feel too bad...I had only planned on keeping my full beard for a few days, but i've been getting lots of positive feedback from friends, students, and now family and may hold off on using the razor for a while. Tonight at Carrabbas, my cousin Matt and his wife Julia both told me to keep it growing. I may need to invest in some "Just For Men" beard and mustache coloring, though, as half of my chin is coming in gray...

It pays to be a giver...Thanks to former student Deborah G. for delivering on her promise to make me a sweet potato pie. She had hoped to get it to me by the end of last semester, but was providentially hindered. I say better late than never. Unfortunately for her, she was a couple of weeks too late, otherwise i may have put her on my Hawaii gift list... I had fun distributing gifts to deserving students over the past couple of days. The tiki idols were popular and went fast---especially the "God of Money." We all need cash...

Back...It's great to be back after a fantastic spring break. I ended up getting sun-burned pretty nicely during Friday's snorkling trip, and have a full beard growing out as well. The last couple of days went really well with the big event being a dinner cruise on the Ali'i Kai Catamarran. Out of 400 or so people on the boat, i was selected to participate in the Tahitian wedding dance. It was cool wearing a hula skirt and even cooler to get to dance seductively with four polynesian hotties in front of a cheering crowd. I'm still not sure which one was supposed to be my bride... Can't wait to pass out gifts to deserving students tomorrow...
