Arrival...The big trip to Hawai'i has started out great. It took forever to get here, but it's well worth it. My sister and I just got back from dinner at Wolfgang Puck Express (very good BBQ chicken pizza) and a stroll down Waikiki beach. I'm dead tired...Props to fellow A&M grad (Class of 2002) and cool chick Meenal Patel for keeping me entertained during the flight. She's about to graduate from dental school and start making phat cash... Also props to "Cousin Timmy" our tour guide for getting us to the hotel safely. Traffic's a real mess here. I'm so stoked to have in-room Internet access, and even more stoked that i brought the laptop. Anybody else wanting a post card needs to send me their request soon. I'm in a really giving mood, and even plan to get trinkets (tiki idols maybe?) for students in my best class... More soon...

Break time...Last night's governmental accounting test seemed to go really well. I'm not sure exactly how good my grade will be, but i was able to finish in less than 40 minutes. I did allow one other person to turn in the test before me--- a person sometimes needs social proof before making a decision...After the test, i joined david, cambell, jackie and darrell down at Carabba's. The food was fantastic as always, and yes, i broke the fast again. When you smell that hot, fresh bread and see that olive oil/spice blend in front of you---well, you find that any resitance you might have had quickly fades away...Anyway, Spring break starts in a few minutes. I'm headed to an undisclosed exotic location and will be back next Sunday...

Considerate...It's cool to be surrounded by so many kind and giving people. Thanks to student Natasha L. for remembering me on her trip to Las Vegas (I allowed her to skip class last Friday). She hooked me up with a souvenier shot glass---pretty nice. At lunch time, Co-worker Sharon convinced me to break my fast by bringing me a blackened chicken salad from Brad's Place. I was determined to stick solely to liquids for a few more days, but it was way too good to pass up...Tomorrow night is another big governmental accounting test. I 've been feeling a lot more focused over the past few days, so i should be able to redeem myself from last test's disappointing results...

Oh yeah...Big Props to student Alejandro F. for hooking me up with a $10 gift certificate to Casa Ole'. I'll be sure to put it to good use once i'm back eating solids. Stuff's getting better --- getting better every day...
Low-cal Sustenance...Rather than join my co-workers on the Atkins diet plan, i've decided just to stop eating solid food for a while. Yep, my nourishment over the past couple of days (except for a chicken dinner last night) has been nothing but Pepsi One, Jarrow Green Defense Drink, and Ozarka. I was down to 206 this morning and will hopefully be sub-200 by spring break...Props to sharon for sharin' the madeapoop flash clip. It's definitely something to check out...

Waco Weekend...I headed up to Waco this weekend to see my cousin Courtney perform with her sorority in Baylor All-University Sing. Her Zeta Tau Alpha group did really well (their skit was called "American Bandstand") but unfortunately they didn't place in the top eight. They were robbed, man, they were robbed. Overall, the show was great. It lasted nearly five hours with 17 total acts...Before the big event, we supported Baylor Baseball in their 10-2 victory over Arizona and then watched in disappointment as the Baylor Men's Basketball team fell in the closing seconds after a hard-fought battle with #6 Oklahoma State...Props to my sister for keeping me awake during the trip, and to the Khouries for hooking me up with a place to stay...
