Disappointment...I was really saddened that Mary was kicked off of ABC's hit reality show "The Bachelor" yesterday. Bob gave her the "It's not you, It's me" speech after dismissing her from the show. She was crushed, as expected---at 35, she probably won't have too many more opportunities to find true love. ABC should seriously consider using her as the lead in the next "The Bachelorette," otherwise she's sure to end up a bitter old spinster. I was really hoping to see Estella get the boot (as i have been for the past three episodes---she seems so fake---definitely not the kind of girl i'd pick if i were a reality tv contestant)...Truthfully, i only tuned into "The Bachelor" while FOX's "The OC" was on commercial break. "The OC" has got to be the most exciting/captivating/enjoyable non-reality tv show to come along in at least 5 years...

To all British Readers of jscottmoore.com ---- Happy Guy Fawkes Day!!!

Beautiful Lebanese Girl...i just got thru talking to one of the most hot immigrant women i have ever met-- paula k., the syrian national. Her family was originally from lebanon, but fled to syria during the big war. Now they are all here. I asked if she were Christian or Muslim, and she said Christian (she had no ill will against muslims, however). She likes tabouli and falafal, and wants to get her degree in international business or interior design...I'm looking forward to this weekend's renaissance festival trip. I can't wait to get my fortune told again... Props to student cassie r. for bringing me cupcakes she baked in the HEB (lumberton) bakery. I didn't actually eat the cupcakes (she gave them to me yesterday, and they looked like halloween leftovers) but instead, left them in the break room for my co-workers to devour. They were gone in 20 minutes. Speaking of co-workers, darrell is enjoyng himself in miami/south beach this week at a fuel cell conference. He took A&M student rachel l. to the Dallas Cowboys game on sunday, and evidently had a good time...

Bloody Mess...I finally made it to see "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" and enjoyed it---kind of. I would have liked it better had i not seen "Wrong Turn" on DVD a few days before---both movies had a similar plot, but i felt that "Wrong Turn" was more suspenseful. The movie starred the tough, beautiful Eliza Dushku ("Faith" from Buffy the Vampire Slayer). She's exactly the kind of chick i would want by my side if three inbred cannibalistic West Virginians were chasing after me.
