ACET Meeting...I'm in the middle of enjoying this years annual meeting for the Association of Computer Educators of Texas here at Montgomery College in The Woodlands. I just made it through Dr. Donnell Payne's (of TCU)presentation on the multimedia markup language SMIL. It was good and informative. My favorite session thus far has been the one on the Oracle Academic Initiative. I am dead tired and am thinking of bailing within the hour. For lunch we had a delicious chicken enchilada caserole, along with an italian caesar salad...mmmmhhh....

Rio Rita's employee Lara visits with Co-Worker Darrell

Hangin' with the co-workers again...I went with Co-workers Darrell and Jackie to Rio Ritas last night and we once again managed to have an exciting time... Jayna (not the Wonder Twin) was our waitress for the evening and did a decent job (except for never bringing me my frijoles soup---i had to coax another waitress into doing that). She's a communications major and wants to be just like Katie Couric. She's also looking for a husband and wants to be a stay-at-home mom. I'm not sure how she'll be able to accomplish both objectives... Lara also came and visited us, and brought darrell more concoctions to try. Her dog is doing much better, although the vet is requiring that it wear one of those cone/lamp-shade gadgets to prevent excess scratching. She was also sporting a new necklace---a pentagram necklace. Once she was a nice young baptist girl, now it appears she's turned to satanism/witchcraft....Jackie, forced to leave the event early, left her credit card (yes, she actually paid before leaving this time). As a good samaritan/good co-worker i recovered it for her. Props to jackie for buyng me a tank of gas and a week's worth of groceries...

Back...I really enjoyed the game this weekend. A&M always seems to play well against Baylor---i don't have a clue why i was even worried about the outcome...I checked out the new George Clooney/Catherine Z. Jones movie "Intolerable Cruelty"---extremely funny and clever... I was really shocked yesterday night on Monday Night Raw when Stone Cold Steve Austin delivered a stone cold stunner to the beautiful Stacy Keibler (she refused to drink a beer with him---she actually tried the beer, didn't like it , and refused to drink any more). She's gotten beaten up by various men on 3 out of the last 5 or 6 shows. I guess some women just ask for it...
