Congrats...Congratulations to my good friends Kevin and Ann Kuebler on the birth of their son William Davis Kuebler. The will make fantastic parents. Kevin called and gave me all the details--the baby is 6 lbs. 13 oz. and 19 inches long. He also said something about epidurals and inducements, but that info sailed right past me... Student Sarah S. stopped by the office earlier today to hang out before class. She brought me another Tootsie Pop (with the tootsie roll center). She's a certified nail technician and certified correctional officer. Unfortunately, she's too kind-hearted to tolerate the constant gossip and backbiting commonly found in the nail industry, and too frail to bust up prison riots...I'm looking forward to finally seeing Freddy V. Jason with Albert and Jon this weekend. I'm hoping to catch Jeepers Creepers 2 as well...I'm really beginning to think that Allison is going to win Big Brother 4---she would have my vote...Co-worker darrel's lunch event with LU Mascot/Rio Rita's employee Jennifer Smith apparently went well last Friday. He said it would have been better had she washed up before arriving---he avoided sitting close to her. Evidently once-a-week bathing is still common in Vidor. Luckily, his former lunch buddy samantha is back on campus. She's usually pretty clean...

Trikke8...I saw the most amazing product on an infomercial the other day ---- the trikke 8!!! It's not a bike, not a skateboard, and definitely not a scooter---In fact, it’s not like anything you’ve seen before! No pushing, no pedaling, just poetry in motion. Compared to the Trikke 8, skateboards, in-line skates and scooters fall short and fall often. In fact, the Transportation Foundation of the city of Los Angeles rates the Trikke 8 as the safest vehicle on the road. Hands down the Trikke 8 provides unsurpassed safety, control and agility for riders of all sizes and ages. Constructed of aircraft-grade aluminum, the Trikke 8 can handle riders up to 350lbs and quickly folds down for easy storage. A person can go up to 18 miles an hour (29 km/h) on a flat surface, and do amazing tricks. It's already catching on big time on the west coast. I ordered mine yesterday--I wanted to be among the first adopters of this technology in the Groves, TX area. I didn't fork over the extra $29.95 for neon wheels, however... I was very sad to learn of the passing of one of my favorite actors of all time---Charles Bronson. I guess there won't be a Death Wish 6 after all...DW3 is still one of my all-time favorites. Mr. Bronson was 81...
