New TV Recommendation...Did anyone else see the show "Anything For Love" on the FOX network tonight??? The show was so funny (yet painful) to watch as several guys revealed their secret crushes. One guy, Rick, was the ultimate wussy, as he tried to win back his ex-fiancee' Jess. She had broken off the engagement four years ago, and they hadn't really seen each other since, but Rick felt it was time to propose again. The producers of the show told Jess that she would be meeting a "secret admirer", thus she was shocked to see Rick. Rick pulled out a ring and proposed as soon as the date began---After a long delay (always a bad sign and grueling to watch) she said "Yeah, Yeah sure---you're one of my dearest friends ever". I have a feeling the engagement won't last this time either. After that, it got even worse as another man, Donny, decided to reveal his attraction for one of his three female roommates (why he would want to jeopardize that deal i'll never know). They brought all three on stage, and he picked out the one he liked, Katy, and told her how he really felt, and that he wanted to date her. Katy's reply was "Well, uh, Donny, I am shocked...We have a great friendship, and I've always thought of you as a brother." My hunch is that Donny's getting evicted from the house soon...All is great here. Student Sarah S. keeps giving me tootsie pops (with the tootsie roll center inside)---evidently she has an endless supply--she always has one in her mouth. I guess i'll have a few more cavities to fill soon...

LU Mascot, and Rio Rita's Employee Jenny is mesmerized by Co-Worker Darrell's stories and exploits

Last Night...Co-worker Darrell's avoid and ignore strategy with Rio Rita's waitress Jenny was very effective, as she immediately clocked out and came and sat with us as soon as she sensed his cool indifference. She then enthusiastically agreed to go to lunch with him on Friday. I think she might even be paying...Lara was our waitress again, and she did a good job this time. She was in low spirits after taking her dog to the vet. Get this---her dog is only 6-months old and is already crippled, full of cysts throughout its body, and has heart worms. Give it another month or so, and i'm sure it will come down with parvo and mange. The vet says it needs a $900 surgery. It may be better to let nature take its course...Co-worker Jackie bailed on us early, and we ended up paying her tab---which was high since she had three margaritas. Thanks Jackie. Also, props to waitress Amber, the corrupt baptist girl for sharing her delicious lip gloss--I quickly removed it when i realized it was glittery...

April enjoys her birthday celebration...

Almost ready...The Fall semester begins tomorrow, and i can gladly say, that i am ready, and eager to start school back up. I've decided not to take any classes myself, thus i can devote my full energy to being the best instructor i can be (hope my boss is reading this) this semester. Today, Agnus, Lisa and myself took April to Bennigan's for her 21'st birthday. She ordered the monte cristo sandwich, and i ate 2/4 of it. I love that sandwich because it's just like a filled donut---filled with meat and cheese. Poor April was just deserted by her boyfriend--- he couldn't handle the fact that she was from Vidor. I'm sure she'll eventually find someone that can accept her racist/segregationist/redneck upbringing. Afterwards, we headed back to campus and gave her a birthday party... Tonight, it's back to Rio Rita's for more delicious mexican cuisine. Co-Worker Darrell swears he will avoid and ignore Jenny if she's working tonight. She gave him the cold-shoulder on his last visit...

The Eiffel Tower

The Reunion in Paris...

Weekend Trip...I just returned from Paris, and wow, what a trip!..Fellow A&M grads, The Kueblers (Ann and Kevin), invited me up, and took care of me really well. When i arrived last night, I got the grand tour of the city's hotspots. We went first to the local Hasting's Entertainment Superstore for an iced Lemonade and ten minutes of Entertainment (we arrived near closing time, unfortunately). We then toured the local Wal-Mart Super Center---and witnessed an altercation between Wal-Mart Security and some of the locals---apparently Wal-Mart policy forbids patrons from parking horses in the parking lot (these dudes had actually hitched the beasts to a handicapped parking sign)... This morning after church at Faith Presbyterian, we dined at La Familia (the Familia) Mexican Restaurant. The food was great, and the salsa was even better...After lunch, Katie, Eric, Devon, Melissa, et al, arrived from Dallas (it was like a 10-year reunion with all of my friends and acquaintances from J.J. Pierce High School -- only, I didn't go to J.J. Pierce High School...)and we gave Ann gifts for their coming baby ---which should be here any day now. Props to Katie for bringing the "Punch" and the candy cigars... On my way up, yesterday, i did get the chance to attend Elizabeth "Betsy" Erwin's Birth Day celebration at the Old Spaghetti warehouse in Dallas' trendy west end district. Also in attendence were Nick, Steffi (who threw away 4 good packs of cigarrettes last week---wasteful...), Amy, Scott, and Willie (our Server).
