What Now ???... I'm glad to finally have the semester and finals week over with. I turned in gradebooks today, and fortunately for my students, many of them passed. Bobby K. from Vidor was especially fortunate (he had a solid "D") for the "C" he received. His uncompromising class attendence record (< or = 8 abscences) saved his GPA, and thus his financial aid...As for my own grades, I had another 4.0 semester, with A's in both Dr. Brust's Investments class, and Cisco. I feared the Cisco final, but came away with a 97.9. I guess i was never in any danger. The Beta Alpha Psi banquet was held last night. I sat at the table of honor with Pres. Jen, Zainab (the pakistani/al quaida girl), Felicia, Mr. Felicia, Candace, and Brandon. Everyone loved the chicken cordon bleu, but our hopes for Chartwell's legendary Italian Cream Cake were dashed when our servers brought out Jello No-Bake cheesecake for dessert. The "Chocolate" cheesecake was similar to the plain cheesecake, only it was smothered in hershey's (or generic subtitute) syrup...By the by, props to (now former) student Jennifer G. for bringing me lunch yesterday. I had forgotten that Chili's chicken strips were fried in breaded shrimp batter ---more batter than chicken, but still greasy and gooooood....

Momentum...I really made some serious progress in situational improvement today. My New Balance 704's had run their course, so today i went to Academy and bought two new pair of shoes to replace them. I remained loyal to NB, but also bought a pair of Sauconys. Not wanting to stop at spending a mere $120, i headed across the street and spent $84 more at Dillard's. I guess i'll need to forego some bill payments until after mid-month. I did get all of my remaining cisco tests taken today, and i'm going to have all of my labs done by tomorrow. The LIT annual family picnic was yesterday, and it went really well. Fortunately, the planners decided to give out miniature ice chests for attendance gifts instead of event t-shirts. Last year's shirts were really gay (They had a HUGE dancing cartoon chili pepper on the front... really gay) and i think i used mine for a car wash rag within a month of picnic. The barbecue was really good this year...
