Game... Those in the Beaumont area need to go and show support for the Drillers tonight @ 7:05 in the Beaumont Civic Center v. the Lake Charles land sharks. There's been a lot a smack run in the past week between the teams, thus i think it could get intense. General Admission Tix are 12 big ones ($12). See you there...

OOPS... I forgot to mention my unsuccessful tennis outing v. albert on tuesday nite. I started well, but went down 6-4---Definitely an uninspired performance, although i will give props to albert for putting down my furious rally...I ended up skipping Dr. Brust's class today for the second time this semester. I didn't feel like going, and furthermore, i was running late. I went to the office early, and did some grading instead...I'm closing in on first place in the investments game---I need PCS to rise just 10 more cents, and then hope Antoine409 has a subpar day.

One Angry Girl...Remind me to never get on the bad side of student Laura Thompson. She and her hated ex-husband parted ways three years ago after a mostly blissful relationship---blissful until Laura realized that at least 5 of her closest friends had had intimate relations with her husband. Since the divorce, he has been involved (shacking up) with a wonderful young lady in silsbee. Thus, Laura was shocked to discover his picture and description in the southeasttexas.com single's club page. To get back at him she plans to write up her own single's club entry (which will include ficticious information -- 5'6, Dark Hair, 118 lbs, never been married, loves children---and a false photograph) and begin a correspondance with him. After this, she plans to forward all of their correspondances as well as a link to his single's club ad to his current girlfriend. She wants the current girlfriend to see what a dog he really is. This really reminds me of the Roseanne Barr Arnold motion picture "She-Devil" --- a great flick...

Continuing... The weekend went well, although it was quite busy. I went last night to Matt (my boss' son and childhood friend) and Kylie's wedding shower (no fear, there were other males there), and had a really good time. My gift (a hand mixer) was greatly appreciated. Negative props to Foley's store employees (especially sandra) for failing to give me any useful assistace when seeking a gift. All place settings look the same to me---and finding anything in the Lennox Pearl Innocence Collection was impossible. After countless minutes of frustration, i headed for Target where the mixer was found. After the shower, i headed to the Beaumont civic center to meet co-worker darrel for the second half of the Drillers game v. the Houma Bayou Bucks. The home team won, but the competition was heated and fierce. After the game, darrel, myself, clint (darrel's cousin from spurger) and carrie (clint's chick, also from spurger) headed to rio rita's for a great meal. I had and highly recommend the Juarez dinner. Next, we sought after, and failed to find an open dart board. We started at the texas star, and ended up across town at the crazy (or was it lazy?) donkey. At "the Donkey", i ran into a former student ( Jessie R., who at one time i considered to be the hottest chick with a sub 80 i.q. ). She was a waitress there, and was looking really (unbelievably) trashy. It was good to see her again...
