Down Time... I feel as if i'm finally catching a breather after days of intensive focus. My second test in Dr. Brust's investments class was yesterday, and i believe i did okay. Former BAPsi pres. Raul and i studied for that damned test for three straight freaking nights. Ms. Basheer, our lebanese classmate, joined us for nights two and three. She was studying with some of the more challenged students in the class the first night, and found it unproductive. Anyhoo, after the test I was really drained so i skipped Networking/Cisco, and went on a drive. As far as the stock market game, i am now very solidly in second place, plus i found a glitch in the system that should put me back into first before too much longer...As far as work goes, all of my classes and students are doing well. Ethel shared a story with the class today involving her 4-year old grandson. It seems the wicked child poured a dozen eggs into Ethel's washing machine. She had to resort to a physical reprimand because the baby doesn't understand english (her son married a mexican girl). I finally heard from my old TAMU Crocker Hall roommate, Andrew, again this week. He,his wife Marian, and baby are doing well in Geneva, Switzerland...

Redemption...After a week of sulking over the tennis defeat, i got a chance at redemption today. It was an epic struggle, but in the end, i prevailed in two sets 7-5 7-6. Props to albert for being an hour late---he blamed the time change. I may have peaked too early in Dr. Brust's stock market game, as i now find myself in 3rd overall (out of 46). One dude, Antoine409 is crushing us all, and may be hard to catch. I may need to find a more agressive/risky strategy. I really want to win, and miss being in first place...American Express can go to hell for sending me a credit card cancelation notice yesterday. I hadn't used their @$%&* card in over two years, and they stated that this long period of inactivity was a primary reason for canceling the account. Then they continue on by telling me that upon reviewing my credit report (listing several problem areas), they could no longer service me and that my outstanding balance ($0.00) was to be paid in full by the end of the billing period. Come again? I paid off your damn credit card years ago, so you should know first-hand that i'm good for paying back any advance you give me. That was very spiteful, it seems. Anyhoo, i no longer need to use credit cards (not even for gas or groceries), so i shouldn't let it bug me...
