Change... Being a person who craves continuous change, i decided to update the color scheme on my page. I wanted to add some sort of novelty to the page, so i added the mantis cartoon.

oh yeah---the rain has finally stopped...it's good to see the sun for the first time in 11 days or so...
Test day...I had tests in both Stats and MISY today, and all in all I believe things went fairly well. I admittedly prepared much more for my stats test since i did so poorly on the last one. It was strange. I breezed through the theory part of the test, and seemed to be on track for a quick and successful finish. It was as if time had stopped, and the answers were just jumping out at me...Then i hit a mid-test snag, and never completely recovered. I think i perhaps did well enough to get an "A", but i do wish i could have kept up the intensity. As for MISY, I could have prepared a bit better. I breezed through the test, but many questions seemed to have more than one good answer. All technical terms and acronyms start looking the same when you're taking a 75 question theory and definitions test, and only studied for 30 minutes or so. I have a good cushion in the class, but it will be sad not to earn the highest grade. Complacency seems to be my worst enemy. When a person is successful, sometimes he or she will take that success for granted or think of it as some sort of entitlement. But you must keep proving yourself--taking risks and working hard, because the competition is always looking for a way to take the man down...

it's all my fault...This weekend turned out to be fantastic. Eric, The Kueblers, Bob, and Jamie (who drives a lexus, and has a father who is a diamond dealer... a good match for Eric) were all in high spirits, and we all had a great visit. Props to Eric for directing us to Bodego's restaurant. It was similar to baja fresh, only more quaint and unique. I ordered the chipotle chicken burrito, and it was everything i could have hoped for and more. After eating and taking a trip to the college station hastings we returned to campus. We went to Bob's Dorm and watched portions of Resident Evil, then headed to the game. The game was fun, and even though it was nasty ouside, all of the fans were in high spirits. I purchased some M&M's that were left over from the 2001 Season (or whenever they had their NASCAR promotion). Evidently, Aramark, the Vending service, still had a few old bags to get rid of. They were stale and bitter and hard, but for some reason i couldn't stop eating them. Even though i was having a wonderful time, i needed to get back to beaumont, thus i left at the beginning of the 4th quarter. A&M had the game in control, so i said my goodbyes and left. Perhaps my voice was needed in the crowd to help the home team pull thru, or perhaps nebraska had access to the legendary rally monkey, but as soon as i made it out of the stadium, Big Red had pulled ahead...It's all my fault...I'll stay 'til the end next game...scouts honor...
