Yet another big weekend trip...This weekend should be another interesting one as i reunite with my old college peeps for the A&M Nebraska game. The game itself should be really entertaining, plus, there's always so much to catch up on. The Kuebler's (Ann & Kevin), Eric, Bob, and myself will definitely be there. Plus, we always run into other friends and aquaintences (diana, diane and john, etc.). It's gonna be great... We're meeting at Hart Hall at 11:00 and then heading out to the Deluxe diner at noon or so, if anyone wants to join us. I'll be wearing a maroon shirt, a baseball cap, and my new specs...You can't miss me...

How did i get myself into this?...I actually accepted tickets to go to the beaumont symphony tonight, and out of moral obligation, i'll probably go...It's not that i hate things like this, but i really hate to miss friends/survivor/CSI tonight. I missed all of my regular shows last night because i got drawn into the live coverage of the sniper case. It was really unbelievable. As soon as i saw the feds put that tree into the u-haul, i figured that an an arrest couldn't be far away. I then stayed up waiting for Chief Moose to come out and make another interesting declaration, but i fell asleep and missed the midnight press conference. And damned, if they didn't catch those punks in the middle of the night. I would have loved to have seen the live reports coming in when the two were arrested, but i was unable to keep awake. Oh well, at least i have the "Trial of the Century" to look forward to. Perhaps they can tie these two to the disappearance of chandra levy, or the jon benet' ramsey murder. It wouldn't surprise me if these two were involved...

oh yeahthe renaissance fest was fantastic...it rained on us, and the high-tech tent kept us dry, at least until the seams started leaking (supposedly, there's some product you can buy to prevent seam leakage, but we didn't know)...I brought an umbrella, but none of my posse did the same. They were soaked. I was too, but not quite so badly. We almost decided to camp out on saturday (when the action really heated up), but the campground was quickly becoming a lake by the time we returned from the fest....Thus we packed up and headed out...

continuous neverending rain...It has been raining in the Beaumont area almost constantly since saturday. I actually like it, although it does put you in a more reflective mood. Lately, i've been reflecting a lot on what the gypsy (Madam Lena) told me at the renaissance fair this past weekend. It was very profound. She read my palm, and told me things about myself that no one would or could ever know. She told me to beware of two dark-headed girls that will enter my life and stir up trouble. She said that either one of these girls could really mess me up. Upon reflection, i've decided to no longer pursue girls with brown or black hair. After all, you can never be sure who exactly one of these two mysterious dark-headed ladies will be. People appear kind and innocent, but deep down there could be a demon lurking. The gypsy said i had a good success line, and that i could expect to make it to age 73 or 74. She said that was good though, because by the time i reach that point in life, i won't want to live any longer anyway. I suppose that's more for me to reflect on...

new glasses...the most unbelievable thing happened to me a couple of nights ago. I was taking off my glasses and my frames snapped. These were name brand frames, and the just snapped...I really needed new glasses, but i had planned to depreciate them over a 2 year period. It had been only a year and 4 months. Thus their useful life is passed, and no amount of electrical tape will extend their utility thru june...So, i actually took initiative and had an eye exam performed today and got a new prescription. I am getting the glasses tomorrow, but i did go and look at frames. I'm thinking i'll get trendy frames, like the guy on weakest link, or even john tesh. It's a big decision, so i looked at them today, so i'll have time to think it over tonight...I'm gonna look so cool! I'm glad my frames broke...
